Two-Face realities

After reading the article, “Sociological Perspective on Women in Sport and Physical Activity,” I became aware of how Title IX has not provided equity for girls and women within sports. Colleges and Universities are only required to comply with one of the three rules of Title IX. This certainly reduces the chances of any girl and women to become professional athletics. I believe it is unfair for female athletes to struggle for accessing uniforms, travel money, scholarships, lockers, and many more things. Personally the school resources should be divided between the two genders, and consequently not giving more money for boys and/or men athletes. These gender differences have been taken place for many years and probably are going to continue in this country. Another interesting fact is how women’s sports have been controlled by men. Besides the fact which more resources are given for men’s sports, they also want to take control of leadership roles in women sports. Everyone should come together and protest against unfair treatment and unequal opportunities among woman and girls sports. Perhaps with the help of everyone, we could stop this injustice behavior from occurring among schools and colleges.
